New Carb setup running rich
My new Edelbrock setup is running rich. 600cfm on a 305, previously was a rochester computer controlled unit. I know its rich cause I had my girlfriend step on it and it is smoking black pretty good, in the driveway. As far as driving around, I wouldn't be able to tell otherwise.
What is the simple fix for this? Fuel pressure regulator? I think the manual said the new carb wants around 6 psi but I have no way of telling what it's getting now.
Help please !

Read the manual. Follow the instructions.
No carb, especially a universal performance carb will be right out of the box.
The manual has very specific instructions for setting idle speed, idle mixture, etc....
