Worth it going to carb?

Howdy, I have an 87 T/A with a 305 tpi, got her for cheap, under 50k miles, but the tpi system is whack.
Injectors leaking, wiring is..bad at best, half the sensors are iffy if they work, most of my gauges dont work, ecm is probably shot.
Runs as is, but dies with gas..can sort of drive with ford parts mcguyver-rigged in.

Shes sposed to be a daily driver/mud car (fabricating a lift kit as is)/junkyard build so I dont wanna invest much money into her, so would it be worth it to just convert to a carb? Pretty much stock motor, minus a snorkel and hood pipes, with no plans of upping the power.

What all would I need?
Other than a new low-rise intake, a holley 600, point-type dizzy, starter coil, 7psi fuel pump and random amounts of rubber lines for vac. and fuel.

Pick up a complete TPI setup for like 2-300 bucks on craigslist.
