carburetor light
carburetor light
The light turns on in the morning when I start it to go to work and then gets stuck most of the time leaving the vehicle at a high rpm. After driving to work about a 10 minute drive the vehicle worm will still have the light on and be running in idle at the high rpm. And if I start it 15 minutes later it still will be like this. After work though it usually runs fine and the light is off. I rebuilt the carburetor after getting the 1984 s10 2.8l v6. I need help with this problem.

Do you mean the choke light?
Assuming you do, it's telling you the choke heater relay isn't getting a load from the choke heater for some reason or another. Could be the wire is disconnected, or the fuse has blown. The choke thermostat could be toast.
Most common is the alternator isn't putting out sufficient voltage.

Re: carburetor light
Yes choke light I believe it is the alternator also atm the battery light just turned on car still starts but has had some problems but I will test the alternator after work and see what is is doing and replace it if it's not making sufficient charge.
