Gas Tanks
I have a carb'd 1987 Z28 that's been sitting for a bit and I'm working on getting it back on the road. Since I didn't expect for it to be sitting for as long as it did, I didn't take the gas out and now the tank is rusted and needs to be replaced.
Originally the car was a 305 TBI. Since I don't need the electronics for the TBI, is it possible to use a tank from a fourth gen (they're plastic and lighter) as a replacement? Pros/Cons?
Thank you!

Re: Gas Tanks
In short, YES, a 4th gen tank will fit.
Do a search for 4th gen tanks here. There are a whole bunch of topics on it
