Carb inlet pressure gauge
I recently installed a fuel inlet line kit on my edelbrock 1406 and a pressure gauge between the filter and the carb. My gauge bounces from 0 to 4 back to 0 constantly and i was wondering if that was normal since i have a mechanical fuel pump as it driven by the cam? I have looked for leaks and have none.

Re: Carb inlet pressure gauge
when the carb needle/seat opens you can expect the pressure to drop as the bowl fills.

Do you have the stock pump? How many miles does the engine have?
The reasons I ask are: 4 psi is somewhat low and some engine oils won't properly lubricate the fuel pump camshaft lobe. I had one wiped out completely. Nasty business. It stated to show itself much the same way yours is now.
