Stumbles when given gas

its a 383 stroker from blueprint motors. originally, it had an edlebrock carb, but they gave me a holley after the edelbrocks were giving customers problems.

now, when given gas off idle, itll stumble for a second, then rev up like normal. happens in neutral and when driving. ive had people suggest timing, fuel level in the carb, and even needing a walbro 255.

it has the stock fuel pump (it was originally a 305 TPI), to a pressure regulator set around 3-4psi.

the timing is set properly, as best as i could do it. im not sure of the holley model. i did unscrew the big brass screw on the front of the carb, and fuel came out, so i dont think its starving for fuel off idle.

im not very experienced in carbs, at least not in tuning them. any ideas?

Re: Stumbles when given gas

Try going through the tuning post. Start by checking the fuel level and the basics. Sounds like you could use a hair more PSI, around 7 is normal but I doubt that will solve the problem. Im guessing you need to adjust the accelerator pump linkage and or cam and or squirters. Have a look at sofa's tuning sticky here:
