What carb should I go with an edelbrock 5001 intake manifold?
What carb should I go with an edelbrock 5001 intake manifold?
Got an 86 305 that's completely stock. I just bought a edelbrock torker 2 5001 intake manifold. I was taking a look at the edelbrock 1406 carburetor and thought it would be an alright carb for my set up. I was curious if holleys would bolt on to the intake and if holley would be a better route to go?

If it came factory with a carb that would be the best one.

That is an open plenum single plane manifold designed for higher rpms. Not the correct choice for a stock 305.
But to answer your question, any carb with a square flange will bolt on. Pick your poison - Holley, Edelbrock, and half a dozen other brands - they all will physically bolt on.
