Q-Jet starting point?

New member but not new to engines and carbs.

FWIW I have raced a $30 Roch off an 80s pick up from the wreckers and ran a 12.43 in a 74 Camaro with it! That was around 2006. A gentleman name of Damon helped me set it up via the Nasty Z-28 board.

That was a strong 406 (510 HP broad torque band) and the jets were 77 and needles I can't recall 44? I think. I do know that Damon always liked a G hanger and DR rods on the back and I used that set up to start and never changed it. It was excellent, the secondaries came on strong.

My new project.
85 Z-28 Hardtop, 700r4 and rear axle and suspension will get strengthened.
Will build 350-365 hp 350 for an all under the hood sleeper. I will get cold air.
In my area we'll see 3000ft-5500ft air densities.
85 Camaro so 3200lbs, Hedman Hedders and ZZ4 GM intake. Haven't selected or found heads yet so still haven't worked up dynamic compression.

I'm just cleaning up the original carb that came with it (it has an Edlebrock on it now) and it has 72 jets, 51Y rods and a J - DR secondary set stock. (Pleased to find DRs in it)
So where might I start 72? 74? I'm guessing start 75? primary rods suggestion?
Is the G-DR thing still a good set for a smaller slightly milder engine than the 406?
I guess that's my question
