CC Quadrajet

I removed my computer controlled quadrajet and distributor and replaced them with a regular disty and quad. Both still worked fine, I just wanted to get rid of all the emmissions crap, so I ditched it all. Are these garbage or is there some market for these items? My wife tossed the box with the A.I.R stuff in it, but I still have the quad and the distributor. Just checking before I get rid of them.

Don't throw out the carb. Should be able to get a few bucks for it if it was in good shape. They have enough flow and if tricked by someone that knows how to do it can work effectively upwards of 500HP on a 406. Problem is there are fewer and fewer that can do it or want to invest the time in learning how themselves.

Probably not much of a market for them, but I would try to pass it on (even if you dont get much), to help someone out who might be sticking with a factory carb rather than going with an Edelbrock or Holley.

Agreed. If anybody on here wants it, let me know and we can work something out to cover shipping, etc. I cannot post in the classifieds. Likely because I am new.

Re: CC Quadrajet

You will need to install 4 main air bleeds and a pair of jets, then toss out the factory parts, jets, metering rods, springs, M/C solenoid, etc.
It will run just fine right off the jets we send with the air bleeds. Been running my carb that way for over 10 years, with no metering rods or power piston etc.
