Carb dead spot?

Rochester CCC, has a dead spot right off idle, I replaced the AP and adjusted the float and it’s still there. Upon start up it will rev for 5 seconds and kill itself, after feathering the pedal and keeping her running till operating temp she idles. Right upon acceleration she wants to kill her self so I have to give her a quick kick and then I have full power until I come to a red light, then I have to repeat to get home. If I’m cruising it feels like the engine is surging and sometimes wanting to die. Carb was just rebuilt.
