Swapping from E4ME carb

Hey all. Thinking the LG4 305 in my 87 Formula is on its way out and was thinking of putting in a new 350 crate motor. I do like quadrajets but my question is with the new crate motor if I put the E4ME carb on there it won’t run right correct? What is required to swap to a non computer controlled quadrajet? Any information on the carb swap would be greatly appreciated!!

It will still run fine, you might have to change rods depending on the specs on the 350 but you can tune it for sure

I will also mention that the EME Q-jet is 750 cfm.
MOST Aftermarket replacements are only 650 and up.
Make sure before you swap.........

IMO the stock EME will work well with a stock 350.
Yes........Prob. will need some tuning if your going big cam, etc.

Re: Swapping from E4ME carb

Thanks for all the help. The 350 crate motor is the one offered with the L-82 camshaft. Makes around 310 hp / 350 lbs on a fat torque curve. I guess what I’m wondering is will the ECM or computer aspect need any adjustment or just focus on the mechanical side? I’m learning and I really appreciate a place like this with helpful advice and info!
