Secondaries are sticking open, help!

Secondaries are sticking open, help!
Ive been taking the trans am on the road now with the LG4, and the carburetor sticks open. It gets real run driving around on the dirt road with this. It's not the throttle return spring. Any ideas on what to check? It's just a plain Quadrajet carb.
