Carb problem solved, now another
Hey guys,
I got my CC Q-Jet mixture kit from Pep Boys and did the work today. I found my bog problem. It wasn't the secondary air flap adjustment. When I pulled the air horn off the carb I found the two brass pickup tubes that go to the secondaries laying in the float bowl! I guess after 126000 miles they worked themselves out.
Car ran great after I started it up. Went to Pep Boys again because the friggin connector to the solenoid broke. After reinstalling the connector, I started it up, the solenoid was clicking, but the engine was running like cr*p.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
UPDATE: Found the problem. One loose vacuum hose. Still having problems with my TC hunting between lockup and unlocked though.

A minor ignition miss-fire will be quite noticable
when the torque converter locks up at low rpm
so the first thing to check is the ignition system
check for a faulty rotor, cap or/and wires. a weak coil can do this too.
Most trans shift kits have a new set of valvebody springs to adjust the lockup rpm of your converter a little higher to avoid hunting.
The converter lockup soenoid could be shabby too. Check the ground connection between the engine, battery and body.
