1) 600CFM 4160 4bbl.

2) 9510 and 4510 are both bad numbers, maybe 9210? 9210= 600CFM 4160

3) 500CFM 2300 series 2bbl

Thanks for the info
That one number for sure does have a X510 but that first digit is smeared. Im thinking it could be a fNord number.

Any one else know that number? 4510 or 9510?

Good guess. I am showing a 500CFM 2bbl used by Ford under 9510. Crosses to Holley number 4456 which doesn't show in any of my books. Ford carbs are not that easy to look up. If anyone knows a good book or something to look up Ford-Holley numbers let me know.

I'd like to know also. The only carb up there thats a 2bbl is the 4412 2300 series, the rest are 4bbl. fNord never does anything by the book.

Was looking on a Holley carb here, the number I found was 1850-3.

What kind of carb is it?

That's an 1850 (duh!!)

600 vac sec manual choke side hung float transfer tube POS, but can be made to run good like any other Holley. -3 version has secondary metering plate instead of metering block, which means the jets are not replaceable. Choke kits of a couple of sorts and metering block kits are available for it.

So is every other part every shyster is trying to sell.

If you hear those words, better put on your steel underwear, because you know there's some serious sunshine headed right straight for your rectum, powered by a big enough pump to re-route the Mississippi River around New Orleans. That's the single most popular sucker line in all of hot-rodding, widely used by the conscience-challenged to snare the unsuspecting who are somehow misguided into thinking that (a) Vette parts are actually DIFFERENT from other parts, (b) that "different" necessarily means "better", (c) that once the part is divorced from its fiberglass container, it "remembers" its former "glory" and rewards its new owner with some sort of mystical superior ..... oh I don't know how to say this delicately and inoffensively, .... maybe .... private body part measurements (I'm just guessing here, I don't know what it is that potential buyers might see as an advantage to this), and ABOVE ALL (d) it's worth paying extra to get.

In other words, it's probably a lie and a rip-off.

What list # is it?

If it's the 1850, it's probably the single most common Holley 4-bbl left in existence, primarily because they sell it SO CHEEEP. It's a "universal" over-the-counter hot-rod part, not OEM, so if it's that one, it didn't "come from" any kind of car, Vette or otherwise; although it could have been installed on just about anything. Like RB up there said, pretty much a basic entry-level POS; designed for somebody that walks into a speed shop and wants the cheeeeeepest thing they got that has 4 holes; but with a certain amount of potential however limited (not even down-leg boosters, let alone annular, for example...) Not worth putting alot of money or effort into, but OK if it's not in too bad condition, and you're not trying to actually compete against other people who know what they're doing.

You'd be amazed (or maybe not?) how common it is for people to fall for that line, and get snookered into buying garbage. It's so bad, I knew one guy years and years ago, that I went to somebody's house that said he had a set of heads "out of a Vette" for sale; so he got me to go over with him to pick them up; we get there, and the guy has a handful of old Vette parts cars, so he opens up the door of one and pulls a couple of heads out of the floorboard.... turned out when we researched them, the casting # was 283 2-barrel heads. Complete trash. Something that never came installed by Chevrolet on a Corvette motor, but by golly, those heads came right directly "out of a Vette". I saw it with my own eyes.

My friend was very red-faced when he discovered he had just paid "Vette" price for crap parts.

I'm glad you can see through the BS.

Anyway.... that's a weird one. Although, the number seems vaguely familiar to me somehow, can't imagine how though. But I don't know what it is; it's not in Holley's numerical listing, either.

What model is it? 4150, 4160, 4165, etc? What kind of throttle linkage is on it? What kind of fuel line provisions does it have? What kind of choke setup? All of those things might help identify it...

Thats a good one . 9510 and right below is the #s 2540. It has vacuume secondery ,manual choke ,single feed . It is about the same size of the of an 1850 .The way the vacuume is hung on the side(kind of cocket) looks like a holey quadrajet replacement carb . I will try and get a photo up of this thing .
Ever look in the local paper and see how many third gen camaros have vette motors in them . Just because it has a TPI does mean it is a vette motor .
