Can you help me with my Edelbrock 750? What hole should the accelerator pump linkage be in? How do I check float height? I saw a pic in the edelbrock catalog of someone running a 7/16" drill bit under the float is this correct? How far should I run the bit under the float? Thanks for any help.

the 7/16" is about right, so yes that will work. It must fit exactly into the tightest spot between the float and the air-horn (near the end of the float).

Accelerator pump hole depends on where you need it. Does it bog or stumble badly now?

should the bit roll in without touching the float all the way to the end? I rolled in a 1/4 of the way and the bit pushed the float up a little when i slid it in so i bent the float a little so the bit would slide in 1/4 of the way without touching. So you are saying that i need the bit to go to the end of the float towards the back of the carb right?

no, then end toward the front of the carb is what counts.

the bit should barely touch the float at the tightest spot.
