Jester Ive read, and you da man!

This is for Jester or anyone who might know. I am doing a Tbi to Carb swap. I have the mallory regulator with the return. I want to put the regulator over on the driver side on one of the strut bolts and run a line over to the carb. Is there anything wrong with putting the regulator 2 feet from the carb. I dont want to starve the carb. The new intake I am using has bolts that go strait down to bolt it on the old manifold had the angled bolts. Does anyone make a bracket That will bolt up to the New Manifold, Carb and Throttle Cable

There is no problem with putting the regulator a few feet away, the strut tower is fine.

No one makes such a bracket, but all it takes to make the stock one bolt up is a little grinding and hole elongating.

Happy Carbing

Hrm. Doesn't Holley make a bracket that bolts to the manifold? Or does it just not fit our cables?

Not sure exactly what you're asking about the bracket. If you're just looking for a throttle cable/TV cable bracket to bolt to the carb, then yeah they make one. Holley makes a couple different models, as do several other companies. You can get them from Jegs or Summit. Here are the Holley ones Jegs has, browse around their catalog for other types. (I'm using "E" in the pictures on my holley carbed engine, car was originally equiped w/ TPI BTW.)

I have my Mallory regulator mounted right above the drivers side valve cover. I just secured the little bracket the Mallory reg came with with the centerbolt valve cover's front bolt.

Yeah Im just looking for a Bracket To So I can use my Stock Throttle cable with my Holley and My intake Manifold. The intake Manifold has 8 bolts that hold it down, and the bolts drop strait in, they are not angled like the old design. How does the throttle cable bracket you have mount?

Thanks everyone

The throttle cable I have mounts on the back bolt that holds the carb on, the carb has a little slot that positions it correctly. It works w/ the stock TPI throttle and TV cables, I assume the TBI ones are the same.
