ok i have a 88 firbird that had a v6 but i put a 305 in it and now i cant get it to run rigt. i have a holly 600cfm with electric chock and vacum sec. when i try and floor it it bogs down then halls as$ kinda but after i go so fast about 80 it starts to act like it cutting on and off and some times it does it at regular throttle and the only way i can get it back to norm is give just a little gas i know alittel about carbs but cant seem to figure it out i have tried to do some adjust ment but cant figuer that one out either help please i need this car onthe road asap

I'm no carb expert, but I'll give it a shot, maybe five7kid can vouch better...
Sounds like the tip in shot from the accelerator pump is weak, or the secondary spring needs to be switched for your application (tuning) Step the secondary spring first, cheaper than buying a new accel. pump.
The high speed cutout sounds like your fuel pump is not keeping the fuel bowl filled so you are literally running out of gas.

I had a similar prob with my car. It turned out that the fuel line was run to close to the head, so the fuel was boiling out of the vents. I just reran the fuel line and the prob went away.
