secondry lockout

cold any one tell me if secondry lockout is a purely an emmision thing or is it something els. only if its just emmision i thought of fileing it off

It's primarily there to protect the engine from the damage caused by full throttle before the oil gets warmed up. If you have enough sense to keep your foot out of it before it's warmed up, then go ahead and remove the pivoting piece (easier, quicker, and less damaging than filing).

I agree. You can ditch it. I have my doubts about it's effectiveness even if it IS working correctly.
