there is a paypal protection incase you don't get the louvers, where he has to prove that he sent them and only has like 3 days to reply to paypal and you get most of your money back.
I've had dealings w/ Tom Lardner and he's always been on time every time. Very surprised to hear you're having trouble but the PayPal protection should bring a quick resolution.

hey you got them, didn't you?
You didn't email me about not getting them, this is the first I've heard of it! If you got them, please erase this post, and I'm sorry if they were late. If you never got them, please email me privately. Always try to work it out with the person first!

I'm glad this is public
Nothing ever happened with it, because he never got back with me. Brandon, you waited too long and now the place I bought them won't re-stock them. You say that I said all the numbers matched and everything, but you don't tell the whole story. One of those boxes was SEALED when you received it, I opened the other one to check it out. So you know the box with the part # you gave me had the correct part # and was sealed. I had never seen a set of aluminum drums before, so I did not recognize the problem.
You should have sent them back at least 3 weeks ago, when I asked you to. Don't say you didn't have my address, because the return address is on the boxes themselves! I tried to work with you, but you just demanded a refund, said you wouldn't pay return shipping, and now I'm afraid there's nothing to do. I left a message for the parts manager, because the guy I talked to said MAYBE, since the part # says aluminum drums and these were cast, an exception could be made, but there's a 20% re-stocking fee.

Like I said in my emails, which you never returned, I bought the "aluminum" drums from YOU. I didn't buy them from the dealership or gmpartdirect.com for a reason. I bought them from you because you assured me the drums were new old stock aluminum drums. I have sent you numerous emails, which you have not returned. It doesn't matter where you got the drums from, because I bought them from you, and that means you will return my money. Now that I have your address, which you finally sent after numerous emails, I'm going to have to contact your local authorities and get this matter resolved. Who else here has been ripped off by Tom Lardner?

Ok
Again, you have shown yourself unwilling to work with me. You disappeared for two weeks instead of sending back the drums. Why would you "finally" get my address when you've had it all along? It was RIGHT ON THE BOXES that I sent you. Go ahead and contact the local authorities at this point, you haven't cooperated in me trying to help you, and now I can't even return the drums. You should have shipped them right away. As it stands, you have the merchandise. And don't ship it back now, because I can't return it, and I won't accept it.

keep the $.02
You don't know the whole situation.
I bought the parts that he asked for from a local dealer: he supplied the part #. Sent them the next day, he got them 3-4 days later, railing at me that they were the wrong part. I got back to him, asking him to calm down, and looked into the situation immediately. Turns out that the part # he gave me, for aluminum drums, was superceded, and replaced with iron drums. I was told it was NOS. I explained, and told him to ship them back. I paid the shipping one way, the paypal fee, and made about $15 in the end, so this was essentially a favor. He outright REFUSED to pay return shipping, and then I didn't hear from him for 2 weeks.
He finally emails me late last week, with the same demands. I asked him why he didn't ship back the drums like I had asked, and he said he didn't have my address. Now, I know that's not true, because his address and mine appear on the boxes the drums came in, I didn't wrap them or anything, just wrote right on the white GM boxes and UPS'ed them.
He's waited too long for PayPal to even help him; I don't know what happened to him in those 2 weeks, but it seems to me that he should have paid the return shipping (like most businesses require) for the greater good of recouping a much larger sum of money, which I was willing to refund.
He's put me in a bad situation now, because the policy of the dealer is no refunds after 30 days. I spoke to a counterman, and he gave me the voice mail of the manager. If I do manage to get them to take them back, which I'm unsure of, there would be a 20% re-stocking fee. If Brandon won't pay return shipping, I can't imagine him absorbing a 20% restocking fee.
I've bent over backwards to make things right, and I'm not hiding from the accusations here.

Like I said, I bought them from YOU, not gm, not the dealership, not some parts shop, YOU. How you got them is your problem, not mine. Before they were even shipped out, I asked you for pics. You told me you did not have time to take the pics, but you assured me 100% that they were new old stock aluminum drums. You told me you even opened them to make sure and they were again, new old stock aluminum drums. When I recieved the drums, which I payed $250 for, they are nothing but crappy stock IRON drums. Tom, there is no name on the box for a return address. I emailed you long ago asking for a return shipping address and I got NO RESPONSE. Now you refuse to take them back because the place you got them from won't give you your money back. That is not my problem. You falsely advertised the drums as new old stock aluminum, which they are obviously not. How you get your money back on them is your problem and it is your responsibility to refund mine in full. Please, learn from my mistake, and do not ever buy anything from Tom Lardner!

right
Yes, don't. I'm a thief who purposely tried to dupe this guy and didn't do anything to try to help him at all. I was difficult, I was inflexible, my fault.
