Here is the information on the guy who ripped me off on a aluminum driveshaft he posted his add on the thirdgen classified website, and drives a thirdgen, but said he had someother parts from a 01 TA. His name is Dave, (don't have his last ). Address is 30 Georgia Way, Cameron NC 28326. His phone number is

He said the driveshaft was in good condition, however I have taken it to a machine shop and a driveshaft repair shop, and both have said the rear yoke has been damaged, as well as polished to disquise the damage. Both have said they would not use this driveshaft. Repeated emails to him have not been returned.

 

If this is the same Dave(went by dave84bird--or something like that) I dealt w/a few yrs ago-he ripped me off too!! I think he used to live in Coon Rapids Mn(not sure of the exact state). I paid him for some tail lights and never got them! He said he mailed them and that he would refund my money--never got either. Finally he just stopped answering me.

ever have mail sent to coon rapids? Did you have an 82-84 bird or T/A?
Just curious.

 

Lived in mpls until 01 theen moved here to circle pines, never had any mail sent to coon rapids.
I had a 84 Firebird for awhile while as a daily driver. and a 84 Firebird with the 305 H.O.
Just wanted to clear your posting of my user name but i suppose the guy that did that to you could have had a similar name, please check user names b4 posting next time

I got ripped by this guy also Perchz28@aol.com, I bought a t5 he said that would not shift into reverse but all forward gears shifted fine. When I got the trany, it was obvious that the lid had been removed, so he already knew what was inside or not. Yes there was a problem with the blocker on the shifter arms, however, There were no roller bearings left inbetween the input shaft and the main shaft, so both shafts are shot!! So basically I have to spend $350 for new shafts if I want to use the trany!!

The guy is a piece of ****!!

 

Don't listen to andysc. He is crybaby! He did the same thing to me. He bought a console and brought it home and then said he wanted his money back. Maybe he should look at things before he buys them. Sellers beware!!
