Forward540/Mike Robaey?

I sent a money order to Forward540 for a dash pad + shipping, around 6 weeks ago. He was very prompt in answering pm's and messaged me the day the money arrived. I didn't hear from him again until 2 weeks later, when I asked him what the status of the item was - he said he shipped it about 2 weeks earlier. I asked him a week or so later what the tracking number was and how he shipped it, so as to be home to take delivery. He told me he had to find the tracking number.

So it's been almost 6 weeks since it shipped - he hasn't responded to any pm's after week #2, even though I see he's been online regularly and even reads his pm's. I sent one with a "read receipt" to see if he could even get pm's, but it still isn't confirmed.

If anyone has his number, I'd like to get ahold of him to find out if there was some problem with the pad or shipping it. I'm not angry, I just want to know what's going on. He hasn't replied to any of my pm's, nor to the email I sent. I still don't have any package tracking information or even know what company is handling the shipping.

I'm a reasonable guy - if something came up, then ok. But I want to know, so I can find out if the parcel is lost or whatever. If someone could PM his number, then I'll try to get ahold of him again.

After being blown off again, I've pm'd him requesting a reply by friday or I'm going to assume that I've been ripped off and contact the authorities.

Does anyone have his phone number? I want to get this resolved peacefully and either get the dash pad or my money back.

I received an email from Forward540 today notifying me that the parcel was damaged in transit and he's awaiting repayment from UPS. He's offered to source a new part or supply a refund - I'm opting for the refund. I'd like to thank Mike for getting ahold of me and even supplying contact info. Will post again once the money arrives.

I've emailed Mike to find out when he anticipates having the money order mailed out, as he hasn't given any indication of a timeframe...

*Edit - Thanks for the quick reply! (The money order's to be sent out this coming Tuesday)

Haven't heard if the refund's actually been mailed yet, so sent enquiry email. I'm a little concerned to see someone online periodically, and not receive just a "yes" or "no" as to if something has shipped or not.

Money still hasn't arrived - I've been trying to get ahold of Mike to find out if he ever did mail it, with no answer. The phone number he emailed me has been disconnected... not sure what's going on...

I really don't want to phone the cops again to tell them about something like this, but I sent the money around 10 weeks ago. He could just register a paypal account to send me the money if there are problems with usps. If nothing arrives by this friday and I don't hear from him, then I'm back to talking with the same officer.

The police in Spring City are looking for him. What pisses me off, is how he's buying parts while ripping me off. I've pm'd him telling him that he's being sought out. How hard would it be to send me the freaking $135 refund already?

I tried to buy a foglight from him once, he gave me a fair price. After many PM's and inquiries after he quoted a price he replied and said. "I know you want it and I know I have it, I'll get back to you"

I gave up in frustration as several more attempts were made, but to no avail.

I have no reason to feel he is a rip off. But dang sure hard to get a hold of.

Okay, he got ahold of me today to say that the money order was returned to sender, so I've sent him my address and he's mailing it out again.

I don't want to come off as being an ******* about this - I mean, I waited a couple months before drawing a hard line. As soon as he messages me saying that it was mailed on a certain date, then I'll phone in to inform the authorities that we're attempting to resolve the problem.

Waiting to hear when he's mailed it out again. If it doesn't go out this time, then I'm phoning them back to press the issue. I told him once I heard from him, then I'd phone them to say that we're resolving it, but nothing from him yet. Worst case scenario, is I sell the claim to a collection's agency to up the ante.

Still no answer. It's absolutely hilarious that he's selling another dash pad, BUT I STILL HAVEN'T GOT MY MONEY. I'm trying one last time to get ahold of this guy, then I'm calling him a crook.

So I finally got a message from his wife, Kathy, telling me to stop posting on his "for sale" ads, as she's doing this for him and that she had personally mailed the money on Tuesday, Sept 19th.

I asked her today what address she mailed it to and I get this little gem in a PM:
"andrew maxwell 4 west lane caes winneidel ..monitcba...r3t 4t3 canada ok thank you kathy"

Now, I'm comfortable posting that in a forum because it only barely resembles my address (which I've sent twice via PM).

Even if the postal service is forgiving enough to go strictly off a postal code - I certainly don't live at that house number. That address is unintelligible. I'm so frustrated with this. How can anyone say that this guy's so great, when I'm getting messages like this from him? I've never, ever had a problem dealing with someone online before this gong show.

On top of that, another member's told me that Mike (or Kathy?) claims, when asked about this situation, that I "sent money for a part and changed my mind." What a class act. How about, I was never given a tracking number and sent money for a part he probably didn't have?

Oh, I'm entertaining thoughts of collecting from this clown. After getting jerked around for 4 months and being pretty damned polite during it, now I'm getting attitude from him?

I would say tough tiddlywinks if you are posting in his for sale items...at least now you have his/her attention. The money will go back to them probably since you said the address is messed up still. The attitude is probably directed at the situation....not your fault they didnt send it to the right address.....sounds like they need to slow down and get their old cases resolved before moving on.

I believe the attitude from him (or her) is about them losing at least a few sales over this.

"west lane caes winneidel ..monitcba"

That's supposed to be...

"West Lake Cres, Winnipeg, Manitoba."

That has to be someone thinking they're clever.

It's the old adage that even though we make a majority of people happy, the one we didn't could break us! You are totally in the right for posting anywhere and everywhere you see fit. The guy obviously received your money, never sent the item or did and will not take responsibility for his neglect. Now if you paid for insurance you should have received a refund a LONG TIME AGO. I purchased a dash pad from a member and the idiot mailed it in a single layer of the cheapest bubble wrap on the market, (it was destroyed when I received it ) I ate that one, but according to what I have read it was insured. Now if you had received the package UPS would have inspected the packaging at its final destination to insure it was not their fault, if a file was claimed. HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

I'm assuming the package was insured, as it wasn't of such a high value as to require additional insurance. Plus, he claimed he'd received a refund from UPS. But that's the rub - I didn't even get a tracking number from him. Ever. I've never heard of UPS phoning the sender of an item to tell them it was damaged, either. It usually arrives and then the receiver contacts the sender to claim the value. I'm of a mind that he either never had the pad to begin with and was trying to find one in the interm, or sold it locally and thought he could hedge his bets. I'm not even asking for an apology from Mike/Kathy - I just want the freaking money I mailed him.

The money finally arrived!

Here's my last PM from Mike (or his wife?). This was one of the funniest things I've read in a long while:

".............as i told the officer last nite i got another money order and i have a tracking number for u on friday than u will get it and go away"

I'd like to say that Officers Kelly and Toben are two stand up guys. Also, that if a receptionist tells you to "Talk to your local department" don't be swayed by her erudition... just email the mayor.

I've invited Mike (or Kathy) to post on this thread a number of times, since I think this thread is a pretty thorough piece of feedback.

You are fortunate that the police in Pennsylvania are that accommodating, because in NYC, you're lucky if they show up for a mugging call. I guess he must live in the suburbs where they don't have much to do anyway. Well at least you didn't end up getting ripped off, very good.

waiting for a refund for 5-6 months is plenty of feedback...

and now he goes into the only thread about a person that has had a problem in 3 almost 4 years of me selling and makes comments... yeah not a person to deal with...

to bump this to the top I'm having a problem with him also. I sent him a money order last month mailed november 18th he received it the 22nd he told me. Well after 2 weeks and my door panels not being here i ask him what's up. This is the 6th of december he says i've been sick havent been out of the house (didn't know he had a wife that could have shipped my stuff!) He says they'll go out saturday the 9th of december and i've made attempts to contact him the last week and he hasn't answered me. Mind you he's in the next state over from me not across the country. should have been 3 days shipping MAX. I'm half tempted to drive to his house and see what his excuse is then. I've never been scammed and its not going to happen now. So people dont buy from him no matter the price he gives you its not worth it for the stupid **** you have to go through. i was hoping to have them installed in my project car since it was still warm in the beginning of december now its cold as **** and will have to wait until spring.

Selling him parts is a bad idea, too, unless you want to wait and wait and wait for money that never comes while your parts clutter your space. Ask me how I know.

when I was selling parts, I go by who pays first gets them. Most times I would work with people that said 3-5 days till payday or mailing out today type stuff, but after that wore off... pay or someone else get.

I think the guy spams the boards and is only here to sell, but if the site allows him them what the heck!!!. I sell parts but I contribute to the boards as much as I possiby can. Look at this and tell me if this is considered spamming!!! He makes up to 10 new posts for the same item instead of bumping his original post Click the link and see what I mean!!!

What I don't understand is that you have 50 cars parked in a lot rotting, I would consider that a junk yard, stop me if I am wrong!!!

It seems to me that all you want to do is brag that you have 50 cars sitting around your yard outside. Your own junk yard. Nobody is impressed, or intimidated that you are going to steal our sales or customers.
If you can deliver good parts at a price someone is willing to pay, GREAT ! There are parts we do not have that you may have and vice versa. Alot of 3rd Gen members will benifit if there is more than just us doing selling on this board. I am happy that you can help members out, competition will make us all better at what we do.
Theres just no need for the childish bashing tactics you're using. As far as I can tell you have several sales gone bad. I would spend more time taking care of my customers, rather than nit picking your superior competition.
We are tired of your malicious rude comments and, jealous that we do business attiude. Apparently, your customers are as well. Do you realize how bad you are making yourself look?
I would re-think my business practice, change my attitude, and screen name, then start over if I were you. Just don't tell anyone how many cars you have 100 more times, so it's not a give away. Stick to selling the parts and helping your customers. I think they would appreciate that.
Why don't you take this to PM's or email and keep further correspondence off this board. Or even better, stop all corespondence and bashing.
If we can help you find any parts, just let us know!
Have a great New Year !
Ray

Why exactly does this matter ? If your customers are happy with you and get the parts they need at a price they are willing to pay. They don't care who owns or owned the parts. Do they ask you all the previous owner information or something?

Re: Forward540?

Wow, I'm going thru the same thing concerning this clown. He has used the exact same pattern of false claims with me. Package returned damaged, no tracking #, return to sender, repeated request for mailing address. Either he is a complete MORON, or he's trying very hard to make everyone think he is.

He has stole $125.00 from me.

Re: Forward540?

Andrew,

I spoke with officer Toben last night. I ask him what the deal was with this Mike Robaey, and he said, " He just not a very upstanding citizen". That says it all doesn't it. Until I get my $ refunded, I'm going to make it my lifes' mission to pursue this clown and make sure he doesn't sell another item on this board. Now I shall begin the search for his phone #.

Officer Mulqueeny is supposed to call me today, and should be paying our "upstanding citizen" a visit.

Re: Forward540?

Here's an update on our ol'e buddy Mike. Officer called today and said that he had been evicted from his apartment, and left no forwarding address. His last post on this forum was 3-11-07. Looks like Forward 540's been up to the same tricks on the camaros.net board.

He's making friends on other boards...

Re: Forward540?

Me too. I can't believe he was allowed to continue selling on here. Before I buy from anyone else, I'll do a thurough thread check to see if they have had any negative feedback.

Re: Forward540?

If he has so many 3rd gen cars I wonder what he was looking for at the local u pull it that day he introduced himself to me.He told me his screen name (forward540) and said to look him up if I needed any parts.I had seen his postings prior to meeting him and that just confirmed the fact that I would never buy anything from this guy if you know what I mean....

Re: Forward540?

Funny he can respond to me when I post, but the guys he owes parts or money to go unanswered. About his farm, I bought a door and driveshaft from him I figured i would poke around and see what he had for parts. I was told it was his aunts or grandmothers farm, and nobody was allowed out there.
