Judging by your comments in this thread, you didn't read it throughly enough because everyone is saying the same thing. In the end its all words, and why should anybodys word be trusted over someone elses, when there is no credibility on the opposing side?

I said, atleast twice, I FORGOT ABOUT THE COLLAR, which is why I never got one, and that is the truth, which is not a good reason, but its the reality.

Keep tracking my activity, it really is pointless.

What are you trying to prove, anyway?
i can tell by looking at the picture you didnt pack it well..i deliver hundreds of boxes every day. it doesnt matter if its over a $5 part or a $400 dollar part you should fix the problem. we are all saying the same thing because it is what should be done, your the only one on here saying something diffrent becuase you dont want to take responsibility as you the "seller" should.

well we are reminding you yet again to send the part, you cant possibly forget now lol

ive sent out numerous parts to people on here as well as on ebay and have yet to have one broken. however if i did i would have fixed the problem 48 posts ago unlike yourself.

Southbay fuel injectors sent me my fuel rail and injectors back to me, well packaged in bubble wrap. yet somehow the FPR was damaged in shipping. now thats not their fault. however they sent me a new part the next day and paid shipping. thats how you do it

Well, here is what I can do:

If I can't find the extra one I had laying around, I will send what he thinks the broken part is worth, or what it will cost to replace said part through paypal.

lol coming from a fed ex driver, there is a bit of tossing. which is totally diffrent than slamming or throwing them. if your box cant handle a slight toss or a fall off the top shelf of our truck it doesnt have a chance to survive the whole trip thats just the truth of it.

i deliver to a GMC dealer and to be honest most of the stuff shipped to them is poorly packaged as well. thin cardboard and nothing inside them. your just taking a chance if you want to skimp on the packaging. bubble wrap and newspaper is not that expensive.

That was then, this is now. Maybe the deal he had to get that part has been passed up and it would cost more to get, now. No need for comments like that.

Nathan's house is a two hour trip, so $10 would be close to a fair amount for my time and gas. I'll be glad to post the resolution to this little drama when it's complete

thanks

Re: problem with bradley23150

now that all of that is resolved, I can post this...

I put the part on my car months ago olny because I figured out a way to patch it back together like a jigsaw puzzle. I bent a piece of steel into a semi circle, and glued it to the inside of the collar. I then used that as a foundatation to attach all the broken pieces to. sanded it down smooth, and then used some spray on bedliner to give it some texture. I was actually happy with how it turned out, but i'll retire my patch job the next time I have the steering wheel off

DSCN0922.jpg

Speaking of which I would like to publically thank Thirdgen ranch for sending me a replacement part free of charge. they followed this saga, and were so disgusted with bradley's actions, they wanted to help. I wouldn't let them send it to me at first, but later I made a purchase from them, and they threw it in the box anyway.

take notes... that's called a seller going above and beyond the call... way to go guys.

Re: problem with bradley23150

I wanted to post thanks to them earlier, but I didn't want to let bradley off the hook. the supplies I bought to fix the first one (epoxy, bedliner, ect) did cost me money, so I still felt like he owed me a partial refund

i think the only time they close threads in this forum is when there are MULTIPLE threads about the same seller (like cam91rs1)

If they close this one, it just means a new thread would get started the next time (if there is a next time) somebody has an issue with bradley

I never had one to send, I thought I did, but couldn't find it. When it went so long without any word from you, I SAID I FORGOT, which is not an excuse by any means, but its the truth. You got $ for what YOU deemed it was worth, so thats the end of it.

This statement is uncalled for. There will never be a next time, and there should not have been a "this time". I am sorry that it took so long to reach a resolution, but something like this won't happen again.

I have seen it all. I really depends on what kind of mood the delivery driver is in. The lady that delivered for UPS was a real B!CH. Them packages allways hit the floor hard. Now the Fed EX guy was cool. He never tossed or threw anything.

I always fold my box flaps and shake the hell out of it. If my item moves around, i know it needs more bubble, or wadding, or whatever. Hell...newspapers are cheap, use those.

Re: problem with bradley23150

he's at it again. i figured just a pair of bumper grilles would be ok for him to ship but it's been almost a month on something he claims shipped parcel post. now accusing me of recieving the grilles and now trying to get a refund from paypal. which i put a claim in with paypal after he gave me a song and dance over not having money or a job to refund the money then getting all pissy over me protecting myself and starting the claim. so i'm here now following through on what i told him if he bothered to pm me again. just adding to the list of him not being a good seller/shipper. also he doesn't have a tracking or conformation number to give me just that he has a reciept from usps that he shipped something??? somewhere??? i guess some postman needed a pair of 84 z28 bumper grilles more then i did. and to bradley23150 you can bring your bs here now for all to see again. i'll just let everyone else reply as i'm done with you and will have my money back shorty from paypal.

you would think any seller would at least put delivery comfirmation on every package, just to protect himself

Can he at least provide a reciept that he shipped them?

he just tells me he has a reciept from the day he shipped 3 packages??? which 3 i don't know. on usps reciepts they would list each package shipping style(parcel, media, priority, etc.) per package with a confirmation number for each if purchased and also if insurance was purchased with value. but all he could tell was he had no confirmation number just the reciept for shipping 3 packages on jan. 7th @ 2:33 p.m. my package should have been shipping from florida to pennsylvania parcel post which should have been here no later then jan 21st if it took the full 9 business days a parcel post package could take with one holiday. what he doesn't know is i have family in tampa bay, fl who ship me stuff a lot parcel post an usually only takes 4-5 business days to get here.

think third gen should just ban this guy and get rid of him and others like him.

The person in question has only 1 negative feedback, which was by 58Mark who posted this thread. Apparently, the issue was resolved between the two and case was closed.

https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/itrader.php?u=70457

I don't think there is enough grounds to ban someone who took care of (even if not in a timely matter) a bad transaction and does not appear to have (to my knowledge) any other outstanding issues.

bradley23150, do you have evidence that the item was shipped to lilhack69? If so, please provide it.

Re: problem with bradley23150

There was only one 'bad' transaction, and yes I will admit it took far too long to resolve. I laid all my cards on the table with this guy and he doesnt understand. I will post our PM's back and forth to prove I am trying to do everything I can, and it isnt good enough for him. He is ready to say ban me over forty dollars, that I am CLEARLY not trying to swindle him over, and I shipped the box its not my fault USPS dropped the ball. Take no mention of the MANY transactions that have been 100% perfect, just focus on ONE bad one and now I am the worst person in the world, when I AM NOT AT FAULT. I told you I had $14 in paypal, and what you would like me to do to try and resolve this so it doesn't end up with you not having parts that you rightfully deserve, and you had no response, just to file a claim with me. I was trying to sell more parts to refund money that I didnt even feel I owe you, but I do not want anyone not recieving parts that they payed for, and made $20 today, and only needed $5 more to fully refund you but you went about it like this... Putting my good name on the chopping block for no reason, and even putting my paypal reputation on the line over NOTHING. I am going to call paypal tomorrow and see what I can do, as I am trying to transfer the other $5 over and it says it'll take 3-5 days which is too long.

I am going to call paypal tomorrow and see what I can do, as I am trying to transfer the other $5 over and it says it'll take 3-5 days which is too long.
post them all up with the all the dates

If the item was lost with USPS, then you should file a claim with USPS and that is between you and USPS. However, the receiver/buyer should be taken care of and sort of is owed product or refund.

Yes mark it does, and I do.

Your also right about getting delivery confirmation to protect the seller as well, I will get it from now on 100% of the time no matter the value.

Him:
please send picture to <email>
also price with shipping to 19464 and do you use paypal.
Me:
Here is a picture:
(Picture was here)
Feel free to make me an offer. Shipping shouldn't be any more than $5-$8.
Him:
i think those are the wrong ones. they look like sport coupe or berlinetta, z28's have more
rectangle blocks and the lower screws are about 1 1/2" from the bottom.
Me:
I pulled these off of an 84 Z28 that I parted out, it was certainly the 82-84 Z28 bumper as
well. These are the correct grills, if you need some measurements to be sure, I can take them if
you'd like.
Him:
you were correct i mixed up the part numbers i had and looked up pictures of the wrong
ones... would you take 35.00 shipped if so just send me a paypal request to <email>
Me:
$40 shipped and we got a deal.
Paypal:
<email>
Him:
ok sending now
Me:
Payment has been recieved, and they will be shipped out asap!
Thank you for your business.
Him:
ok thanks
and just in case my address did come through right
<address>
Him:
you got a tracking number for these grilles
Me:
You never recieved the grills? I did not get a delivery confirmation on them, or I would have
given you the number. Did you contact your post office to see if they had it? I am sure I have the
reciept for the shipping but it has no numbers on it or anything like that. Please let me know if the
post office says anything.
Him:
what was the date, time, and way you shipped (usps parcel post, priority mail, ups
ground?)
Me:
01/07/2011
2:33PM
USPS Parcel
Him:
with that late in the day on a friday it may not of been processed till monday morning.
parcel post is always last in line for process. may be here tomorrow or tuesday. you may want to go
to usps.com and get priority mail flat rate boxes they will ship them to your house for free. also set
up shipping online at a discounted rate with free confirmation numbers and you can schedule free
carrier pick up there too
Me:
Yes I almost allways ship with confirmation numbers, I don't know why I didnt on that
day. Please let me know what I can do. Thanks
Him:
forgot no mail today martin luther king day
Me:
Yeah I ordered a couple things and forgot today is no mail.. lol
Him:
thats alright i work so much half the time i can't even remember which day of the week it
is!! full time head autobody tech, run my own ebay store, and partners in starting a restoration
shop
Me:
Nice, its good to keep busy, though.
Him:
dude i don't know what to tell you but they are still not here! jan. 7th- jan.21st with one
holiday makes 10 business days traveling from fl to pa. usps parcel post takes no more then 9
business day to go from the east coast to west coast. i've checked with my post office, nothing
there waiting for me. at this point just refund my payment in full via paypal and i'll look elsewhere
for the grilles.
Me:
I don't really know what to do here. I brought them to the post office, payed the shipping
fee, and then it's in their hands from there. I don't know if the post office can take liability or
anything like that, I have never had a package just flat out not show up, ya know? But currently I
just do not have the money to send back, and thats the honest truth. I sell parts because I am
currently unemployed and this is the only way that I know how to make a few bucks. I have $14 in
paypal and thats all I got.. I have parts still for sale and if I have to I guess I will send you the money
that I would make. I certainly don't want you to pay for something and never get it, thats totally
wrong. But at the same time, I am out the parts and the money because the post office made a
mistake. Please let me know if we can work something out, I am sorry that this has happened.
Me:
Real nice filing a complaint with me through paypal, I let you know every detail, and for all I
know you recieved the package, and since you didnt request a confirmation number, decided to get
the parts and the money back. I told you I had no money in paypal, now it is negative. Not a good
way of going about this, and you didnt even respond to my last PM or notify me about this or
anything. The other 2 packages that I sent out the SAME DAY reached their destinations, and
somehow yours didnt? I find that hard to believe.
Him:
i have not recieved and trust me the money wouldn't brake my bank. i just don't give it
away for free. i buy and sell a large number of items on ebay and here on third gen. i ship and recieve
several items a week and keep track and have everything organized. how do you know if you even
put the right address on the package and how do i know if you even shipped it. the point is it's not
here you give me a song and dance about no money unemployed. so i'm not waiting paypal will
refund my money and charge your account. so feel free to do as you please i'll just post every pm
message i have here to show how great you are on selling and shipping out your parts. no need to
reply as if you do i'll just post ever last word you type out to me just refund the money via paypal
and they won't freeze your account or whom ever account you use for 3 months. as paypal will also
recieve a copy of all these pm's in my benefit as you are the second person on third gen i've had to
do this with. try me you will lose!
Me:
No need to get all "high and mighty". All I am saying is that you basically saying that I
didn't send you your part, is just as bad as me saying you recieved the parts and just want the
money too. I know that I dropped the box off at USPS and payed for it to be shipped to your
address, and that you claim it didnt make it there. I am not giving you a song and dance, I am giving
you the truth. How can I refund money, if I dont have it, and I supposed to do it by magic? I asked
you what the best way to handle this was, and you file a claim with paypal, instantly assuming I am
just a piece of **** liar thats in it to make forty whopping dollars. Thats not the way I work, and I
will never do that because I know what its like to be ripped off, believe me. I am always very
respectful and understanding when buying and selling parts, so I have nothing to hide if you decide
to post the PM's for reasons only known to yourself.
I was actually working my way up to a refund, even if I didnt agree with it in the first place. I got $20
today and it went to paypal, and when I went to check it it said -$5 balance. I don't know what you
want from me, I have nothing and am trying my best to right a wrong that isn't even my fault.

Good job, you got me but its the first and only time you'll fool me. Enjoy your parts and your refund, you taught me to always get delivery confirmation to prove that you recieved your parts, so I dont have to give parts away and ship them at my expense as well.

he can try but i don't think he'll get too far without a conformation number or an insurance number. as this happened to me about 4 years ago shipping a gift to family in california. post office counter person told me the zip code narrows us down to about 70,000 packages no other usps numbers no luck.

Another reason why I don't feel comfortable buying anything from anyone off of a site where people can individually sell items.

Re: problem with bradley23150

I did nothing wrong, I sent his package in a timely manner, and he claims it didnt show up. Nothing more I can do, and its my fault for not getting delivery confirmation to protect myself.

Lesson Learned.

Re: problem with bradley23150

when i ship i always get tracking number and take picture of package with all post office shipping labels at the post office. overkill but kinda hard to argue with a pic like that.

i would not not buy anything from you and im sure a lot of other people would feel the same way.

Most everyone in life deserves a 2nd chance. And with confirmation/insurance/pictures/whatever in the future, I'd be willing.

**** happens & maybe that is what happened here.

Re: problem with bradley23150

The only thing that happened here was the seller got ripped off, and people are still pointing their fingers at the seller like its my fault that USPS lost their package. I dropped off 3 packages that day, and that one is the only one that "didn't" show up. He has his parts and my money, he pulled one over on me, and it will not happen again.

End of story.

What I just read in the first post, is that the buyer bought a part & it arrived broken. So the buyer did get it, just not a good part.

And that points to only 3 options.....
1. Seller sold a broken part
2. Seller packaged it badly to protect it
3. UPS/USPS damaged it, but that would be evident by box damage.

I'm not going to read through 5 pages but after reading in the 1st post....."didn't pack it well at all, and the plastic collar behind the wheel was busted all to hell. The wheel bounced around inside a box with just some pages from a catalog for packing... not even wadded pages, just laying flat in the bottom of the box.", that points the #2 listed above. Flat pages for packing, not even wadded or bubble wrap (even better)? Sorry, but that is ****-poor packing.

I was talking about the other claim someone posted in here. This thread isnt even 2 full pages, certainly not 5.

Both of which have been resolved.

Re: problem with bradley23150

I am glad that is resolved, but it is the responsibility of the seller to purchase insurance. If you ship through Fedex, it is covered up to $100 free. Insurance is like $2-$3 through USPS. Its worth it. Who cares if the buyer does not pay for it.

If your going to comment read the whole post oh: you would think with over 10,000 posts you would

Despite what some people think only about 10% of people actualy know the correct ways to buy, sell, and ship stuff online. Bradley is learning and I don't beleive he intentionally did anything wrong on either claim. Live and learn... I would buy from him now more than I wouldve before
