Convertible frame resto help

Hey guys,
The part pictured below was bent all out of shape when I got my car. The second time I opened the top it snapped. I need to know if these parts are available somewhere. It was located next to the driver's head and attached the main frame to the second bow support. Also, is there supposed to be one of these on the passenger side? I see no holes for it but just wondering. Finally, the third and fourth pictures are my front header bow. I was just wondering if anything goes screwed into these small holes I see across the front and sides on the inside of this part. They are tapped and look silvery as if something was there once but no longer.

The first two pics of the frame and bow #2 look like broken/missing "flip rods". They are available through Top Down Solutions. Their ad is at the top of the page.

galletti...

the flip rods that TDS offers will not fit your car. IIRC they are for 89 and later.

I have he same flip rod on my 88 Sport built in July 88, but the 88 IROC does NOT have that flip rod...built in Dec 87. Nor does the IROC even have the holes for the part to screw in to. Thought about taking the part off the Sport to a machine shop and getting one made...but alas, no holes to screw it in to...wopuld have to drill and thread them.....

They wind up flipping that #2 bow backwards as the top goes down so it fits in properly....sure makes it nicer for putting the top down...have to remember on the IROC to flip it back manually whereas on the SPort, it does it for me...

Have 3 pics of what the flip rod looks like intact.

Zipped them and ready to email if you'll send me an email address....

Re: Convertible frame resto help

They don't sale them anymore so I did what I do best if it's simple enough I made me one. I still had my broke one for a pattern.
