350 in 88 convertible?

Well, the VIN decoder is down so I dont know if 1988 Convertible Camaros ever where made with a 350 engine in it?

This would be a HUGE help, because I cant pass my etest and if I can prove 88 vert camaros didnt come with a 350 I can get modified status and pass the etest.

Thanks a TUN!

This has been discussed here before and the concensous is no - not from the factory. An individual may have bought a t-top 350 car and had it done themselves however. Here a link to a current thread on this topic:

350 Convertable

What the heck is an "etest"?

The eight digit in the Vin will be a (8) for a 350 motor. Even if the Vin says its a 305 that all the E-check dummy care unless your standing there and claiming its a 350.

Emissions test - OK that makes sense. We don't have them were I live. Guess thats why I didn't put two-and-two together.

If the factory engine is in place and there is ASC badging, I'd say it's originally a 350 new, whether it can be argues direct from the factory or dealer, the owner did not do a hack job, and that's why I say it's official to say

The Am Specialty Car Co does a fair amount [on order work]of inshop tooling with show cars as I mentioned before
