Does any one have a vert top with the glass back window in it? I need to replace my top and was looking at he one from tops on line with the glass window. Any help would be appreciated.

Best Regards

you realize that a glass window doesn't work for 3rd gen convertibles....when the top folds down it creases right thru the center of the window, and everybody knows glass isn't bendable...

Sorry NOT true.

I have the glass window top from TopsOnLine.

Works great.

The ONLY issue I have is that it will not go down or come up easily unless the rear seat back is unlatched.

The rear window is a shade smaller than stock, but you get used to it quickly especially since you can actually see out of it.....

A quick search will show there are several others with that Top.....

whole new top.....talked with several shops in the area and they ALL recommended saving my money and getting a new top.

the labor would be the same either way. new one or new window

Originally asked about having new window sewn in cause top was basically OK.

I've priced them at Topsonline.com with installation to be around 1700-1900K.

This would be my next tax return.

and hey is this a good deal or not?

a brand new black canvas top with glass window for $399.00 on ebay. made by EZ on Auto Top Co.

looks like a great top, has somewhat of a tint to the glass...

is that a good deal considering i'd have to get someone to install it for me?

Yeah, I think I did some bad math. I don't know why I came up with a quote that high.

That would be the same top I bought....

Bought it from TopsOnLine but it IS an EZ On top......

Same price....

Check out the shipping charges....and don;t pay OVER the 399

One thing to do tho'

Measure your top side to side at the rear of the window.....make sure the new one is the same size...there were/are 2 different sizes.....

Actually calling Tops on line and talking to the owner MAY be your best bet...he's a great guy to work with and won't steer you wrong..
Can;t remember his name since it's been 2 years since I bought mine

Car is dirty hasn't been washed in @ 4 weeks......was busy putting on headers, catback and replacing my valve stem guides ....then we started a project of hardwood floors in the den & kitchen so the garage is FULL of furniture and the house is a mess.....

do they mean you can't have the back seats latched at ALL when the top is up, or just when you're putting it up/down?

but they said that it's $1,100 to have THEIR top put on lol

i think i'm gonna get the topsonline one with the glass and have it put on...

New Top

I had the same dilema. When I bought my car the top was in good shape and all weather stripping was fine, but the back window was fogged and coming unstitched.

I checked several places. They all said that it was possible to get just the window done but it woulc cost the same for removal and replacement of the top because the top had to come off for the window change...

In the end I just went with a whole new top.
