i guess this would be a convertible question b/c of the way the middle tail light is set up on our cars...but for some reason i can't figure out why my middle light WONT WORK...the bulbs aren't burnt out, i unhooked and rehooked the light assembly to the wire that runs thru the spoiler, i even detatched the circtuit that touches those lil' metal pads to the wire running from the light assembly, and made sure the coil was touching the metal sitting by the trunk latch...can't figure out why the lights aren't coming on...

any suggestions?

 

and as far as i know there isn't an individual fuse for just the middle tail light is there?

i'm pretty sure there's only one for all the tail lights

 

I had the same problem, I took some fine sandpaper and sanded the contacts on the trunk lid and then sanded the contact patch on the trunk base and that did the trick. I guess dirt or corrosion had built up over the years and there wasn't enough metal to metal contact for the light to work.Works great now.

 

Now that you mention it I haven't even looked at that light in a long time. I'm going to check it tomorrow!

Another thing I've been considdering is a change over to LED Tail Lights.
