Found some cancer while doing a restoration. Take a look at the pic and give me your thoughts. The pic doesnt really do it justice. The rust isnt all the way through the metal... But its close. The outter layer of sheetmetal is completely gone in some spots.

 

Thanks for the info I just bought my vert monday and I was just looking over it to see if I missed anything while looking doing my pre-buy inspection.

Is the weatherstriping for the top glued to that place? In other words, do you have to remove the rubber to check the status?

 

 

Yes you have to remove the weatherstripping to see that area.

 

Yep.. Windsheild Header to top weatherstripping must be removed. Kinda a pain too.

 

Any other rust on the car?

 

Nope

Except the rear crash bar... But that is typical on these cars in my area.

 

Man. It hurts to see that. Scary. I'm afraid to look at my own car now. That seems impossible to fix.
