406 is in and running

I have had my car down since December and it is now running . Started to do heads and cam on the 305 and ended up putting in a 406 , and long tube headers and true duals . I'll post some pictures soon . Started it up last night , and it sounds awesome . This is a link to a crappy video from a mobile phone .http://www.team3rdgen.com/images/upload/starting.3gp

You'll need Quiktime to play this and it takes a minute to download . It is a cell phone video so it isn't too good .

Just finishing up some of the loose ends . Needing to get her tuned now . Did you hear the video ? It is one loud **** . Sounds wicked as heck . Haven't been able to let it loose yet because it needs to be tuned first . I'll let you know later how it runs .

Awesome!

Sorry I've been away. The folks on the forum I moderate were giving me a headache. I needed a break.

Back to the car: A 406, with long tube headers? Holy crap! Please go out right now and buy a 9 megapixel camera and get us some shots of that sucker sitting in the engine bay.

Are you going to need a new hood to cover it?

That is sweet.

Any plans to bring it to a dyno? Have you stiffened the suspension with SFC's and stuff to be able to handle that power?

How much did the commentary on the cell phone video cost? I'd like him to do the commentary when I start up my 400.

Yes I will dyno it one day . But that will be down the road when it's either carbed or the 1,000 CFM throttle body and EFI , whichever way I end up . That is a Torker 2 intake on there now with the stock throttle body to get it up and running and make sure all is ok . Will be buying new subframe connectors soon too . Not sure if I'll get the Alstons or the SW's that I just saw someone post about on here yet . Been solving a few minor problems from the install yet , but it is about good to go and get it plated so I can street drive it . This thing is way loud in person . That cell phone video doesn't even pick up the sound much at all .

Yeah that's Aaron . He works with me sometimes and he's one of the guys that started our locaL f-body site . I think you could get him pretty cheap if you want !!!
