roll bars

can anyone post their vert that has roll bar in it. i am thinking about getting one to stiffen up my car. will the roll bars that are 8 points are they just desigend for hard tops or will they fit verts too?

You have to cut the main hoop down to fit the car anyways, so any 3rdgen bar will work for you. You have to tailor all the bars for your liking.

Heres mine. custom bent at a local shop and fited/finished by me and a friend or 2.





I belive theres another thread with more pic's of others also. try doin a search and if you cant fine them. I should have em all saved.

Looks like your diagnal bar is dangerously close to the drivers head...Mind you I dont build roll cages. But you may want to talk to some folks who are more heavily invovled with race sanctioning bodies. Most diaganol bars Ive seen or offset farther to the passenger side.

Im not trying to put down your work, Id just hate to see you get busted up.

Maybe a few of scca guys can post up for you with better info.

actually if you look at some of the CMC (camaro mustange challange cars) They are the same way mine is.

what difference does it make? the main hoop is close to your head as well. you better have a helmet on anyhow.
