WOW! Looks just like mine MINUS 100K!!!!

Does anybody have a "smiley" for "Drooling"?

Is the red lettering "Pontiac" on the taillights original? If so, mine has either washed off, faded off or been sanded off.

The Green one was an Automatic, it may have hurt it in the long run. Also I notice his starting price was $17,000, It was TOO High if he wanted to sell it.

The red car would not surprise me if it goes for $14K - $19K. SIde by side I would pick the Red car every time. The Green is definately beautiful, unfortunately Green is like Yellow it takes a special person to own a car one of those colors. Most people prefer red.

Let's agree to disagree. I had wanted a metallic dark green or "Dark Jade Gray Metallic" 91 or 92 Trans Am convertible since they first came out when I was 15-years old.

When I finally could afford my dream car as a second vehicle, I was looking specifically for Dark Jade Gray with tan interior. I found one in Arizona, but it was too far away. Then, I found a red one with tan leather just 60 miles away at a price I could afford. I thought, "Everybody's got red!" ... but I thought this might be my one shot at a good deal on a 92 vert. So, I got it.

Long story short, my neighbor only two houses down sold his 89 GTA and bought a 1992 Dark Jade Gray Trans Am vert with a tan leather interior. Damn it!! He has the car I wanted!!! But when I parked my baby beside his, let me tell you, there was NOOOOO comparison. My red made his look sick, even though his is in a little better condition than mine.

Believe me (my wife can attest to this), I get looks, beeps, waves from girls (mostly in their 30s) all the time in my car. He gets "thumbs up's" from dudes with mullits in rusted Camaros. I even had a girl say to one of her friends at a stop light one day (she didn't think I heard her ... I really don't know if I should say this ...), "Damn, that car makes my *explitive* wet!" I'm not kidding! You can ask my wife, she heard it too!

So much for long story short, but ... long story short,

red > dark green metallic.

Maybe they were talkin' about your wife and maybe they're lesbians

And for what it's worth the Green one has already surpassed the Red one by almost $7K so the Mullit wearin' dudes must have more money.

Interesting. I would have paid more for the green one before I got my red one, but I LOVE the red now.

Yes, WOW! That is a gorgeous car! I love the tan leather interior. Looks beutiful.
Correct me if I'm wrong but according to his Ebay ad, the reserve of $10,000 was not met. That kind of surprises me . If only I had the money.

I'm not sure what the reserve price was (nobody but the seller is supposed to know), but it brought $10,100 and didn't meet reserve, so it has to be higher than $10,000. The seller actually lowered the reserve price at some point during the auction, so it obviously wasn't bringing what he'd hoped.

These cars just aren't worth it yet. And I emphasize YET. Most of them are still considered (to most buyers) "used cars" and not collectibles. I personally would gladly pay (if I had the money) 12-14K for that red car, but not much more. Now, in 15 years, that will be an entirely different story.

It is worth what the buyer payes. Nothing more nothing less.

Thats an interesting assessment considering that there are things called bargains to where people pay less than the market value and are able to sell them for more than what they have invested.

Dealers pay less for a car does that make them only worth what they pay?

Technically a car is worth what someone WILL pay for the car, not what somone HAS paid for the car.
