1987 - 20th aniv. camaro - iroc convertible
I can't even think about buying, but is was just listed a couple of days ago, so I thought I would alert the forum in case anyone is looking for one. Of all things, they would trade for a Volvo Wagon. With this type of move, they must be expecting or have already had a new addition to the family

On the surface it looks like a car worth investigating. The Volvo doesn't seem strange to me. Like mentioned above, it's a safe, practical & economical vehicle for a family or if he needs to do a lot of traveling and needs cargo room.
When I had my family, I got darn lucky I didn't have to part with my vert when we bought a minivan!
Of coarse we're just guessing but a simple call would solve this mystery. Better reason than the car sucks or something (unless he's BSing).

Here is the vin, it has odometer discrepency and I am waiting on the RPO codes. It was a e-bay won car from CT, the has been repairs on the floor, and the owner stated. As far as rust he this is what he stated
" As for rust. I know the car was a project car for a father and son in Cannan Ct. I bought the car from them on e-bay about two years ago. I still have the
printout of the original auction. They bought the car from the guy that bought it new. He put it in his back yard, and the father / son team picked it off of him and did a restoration (they never registered it. So, I'm the second owner of record). I suspect there is some rust, but it's under newer paint, so I can't say for sure what's been done and what hasn't... If your really interested, I can pass the name of the people along to you and you could ask
them yourself what they did. I never really cared because it looks relatively good... One thing I know for sure, the rear floor has been patched."

You're lucky. I had to sell my 20th Anniversary IROC-Z convertible ten years ago in order to purchase a Mazda MPV. I had my first addition to my family and she was getting too large to fit in the back seat! But then again, I had two remaining anniversary Z convertibles so it wasn't a major tearjerk. Mine went to New Zealand..... maybe it's a right-hand drive today....
