vert top woes
my husband & I picked up a 89 Vert about a month back for $1450 it needs a new top since it was sitting next to a house that burn down & some of the sparks & flames hit the car.
Heres the worse of it

but the problem is is finding the right measurements for the top to get the right top. can anyone really help?
also we are looking for a place to find the header panel the part that goes across the top of the windshield.

Hey KCGirl...
I would recommend you just go to Tops Online and get the replacement you need. Pretty much, most of us would recommend the glass rear window...
As far as the "header panel" is concerned, I'm not sure what part you are talking about specifically but if it is the piece that is on the interior under the visors, that is a very hard piece to find. I could use a new one as well. Ebay is my only suggestion to find this one or reach out to Dave at ThirdGenUSA.com.
Looks like with some TLC, this car will look great again.

why cant I find a deal like that?
Anyway, most places that deal in convertible tops should have the measurements I would think.
As for the header panel, there were 2 people that just posted with-in the past week of selling parts. Just keep an eye out for someone parting one out.

I know which "header" piece you're talking about, and honestly I don't know of any place to get it brand new other than maybe hawks

Chris, if this is the trim piece that goes across the front lip of the top and it is the same as on my Ragtop89 then I'd buy one.
