Where to find a gasket seal that is for under the tonneau cover?

Theres some kind of a trim ring that goes aound the perimiter of the body that the tonneaq cover sits on and seals to. I noticed that my new 88 doesn't have one but the other two do. I will try to get a pic if I get home in the daylight. Anyone know what I'm taking about? Thanks

If your talking about the original GM convertible clear tonneau protective film which protects the tonneau cover from excessive wear from top you can get it at www.moderndaymuscle.com for $120.

No, Its not the plastic protective cover. I've attached a picture of what I'm trying to describe. Anyone know where to find one of these or what it would be called? Thanks

It's called Trimlock. Some call it Trimlock door seal or hatch seal. It's available by the foot from many RV, Marine & Auto stores. Here's one link I found . . .

I'm not sure of the exact size (I'd have to measure mine). They also come in different finishes (colours & textures) so be sure to get the kind that matches yours.
Good luck.

Thats not the one I was thinking it was either, or the one I'm looking for. Mines the seal that goes between the top and the flipup lid.

For your part, do you mean the soft seal that keeps the elements out (rain,etc)? Does it look like it would be part #10, the No. 5 Bow Seal?

I saw a complete weatherstrip set on ebay from some company in Texas. Not cheap but it looked complete. I can't remember the price I think it was close to a G.

[QUOTE=Iroctopless;3259862]It's called Trimlock. QUOTE]

Sweet, Thanks. I wondered why a little water got in under the rear seat and discovered that piece had been REMOVED!?!? I hope this was at fault as I had already checked the run off tubes for any type of clog. Anyone wouldn't happen to know if an original piece can still be purchased somewhere would you? Thanks

This got me interested. Mine on the vert is in good shape but there are other applications for this stuff... I found the website for TrimLock and they've got an interesting product line. They have the part you are looking for. You just need to figure out the length as it is sold by the foot... You might check with stores in your local area that sell parts/paint/supplies to body shops and you will probably find what you are looking for there.

Here is the Link to TrimLock http://www.trimlok.com/
