OEM 1992 Convertible Top
OEM 1992 Convertible Top
I am looking for a OEM replacement convertible top for my 1992 RS. I've seen the tops that Classic Industries, Eckler's and others offer. I'm looking for one with factory stitching/fabric/look and feel of the factory top. Anyone know who sells a top that looks OEM?
Also, for those who have purchased replacement tops, do they come with everything just like the stock top and I just switch them out?? Thanks, I'm pretty new to owning a convertible....

We've got a sticky thread dedicated solely for this purpose of finding the right top for you.
If you can swing the money, I HIGHLY suggest the glass window top from topsonline.com, but if it's a matter of being original, then I understand why you wouldn't want to.
Re: OEM 1992 Convertible Top
I noticed the sticky thread, but I noticed a picture of someone with a new top and it didn't look like a OEM top and I just want to make sure that I get the most factory looking top possible, including the rear plastic window.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: OEM 1992 Convertible Top
do NOT buy a vinyl top. You want the stayfast canvas top with the plastic window for your exact year car. Vinyl is a cheap solution that looks like crap and you will wish you had gone with the more expensive stayfast top. I got mine from topsonline, your going to need to be careful with your weatherstripping and try not to rip any of it inless you want to spend more than your already spending on the top. Also, keep your headliner, you wont get a new one with the top.
