can anybody get their spare tire in the space it was alotted for cause i cannot. damn thing is just to big...did they even have one for the convertibles?

 

convertibles came with a spare tire, but they were not the same as the coupes. they were deflated and came with a can or compressed air to fill it up when you take it out. a normal spare tire wont fit in the trunk slot where its designed to go

to get mine back in. I had to try putting it in at an angle, valve core out, and alot of pushing. I also had to pull the carpet back a bit to give it just that little extra space.

 

i hit mine with a sledge hammer....

I just used several of my most special four letter words and it just slipped right in!

I too had some issues, It was not easy, but after 30 min of pushing, and trying not to tear the weather strip, and moving the carpet out of the way I finally got it in....

BTW, the minispare with the inflator was not just for the verts, many of my other cars had it too...
