Convertible Options

My IROC has the CZA3 convertible package. I'm surprised it has rear drum brakes. Was the 4 wheel disc brakes an option for the convert or did you need a certain package to get it?

Also, did the convertible come with true dual exhaust? What options did you need to have to get dual exhaust?

Thanks!

Re: Convertible Options

Disk brakes were an option on some verts depending on the year . . .
1987 - with the G92 performance axle ratio and J65 four wheel disc brakes option combo.
1988 -
the G92 performance axle ratio was still available so the J65 option may still have been available.
1989 - no G92 or J65 rear disk brake RPO offered in the vert.
1990 - ditto
1991 - ditto
1992 - ditto
Others may be able to help out more accurately, but rear disk brakes were definitely only an option with certain packages for certain years. My IrocZ is fully loaded too, but no rear disk brakes.

No 3rd gen (vert or otherwise) ever had true dual exhaust. But you could get the N10 dual cat back system with the certain performance packages. I'm not aware of it ever being offered on a vert.

Re: Convertible Options

Thanks for information. That's what I was thinking. However, I was told the G92 was only available with the 5-speed and that you had to have the G92 to get the J65 option. If that's correct then you couldn't get 4-wheel disc brakes with the 700R4 verts. Hopefully somebody can verify.
