Re: Finally got her out of the bodyshop

I said I'd lever lower the car but the back is a little too high,Didn't I see somewhere that the rear spring rubber can br removed and heater hose installed on it and it will lower the car and inch or something

Re: Finally got her out of the bodyshop

Looks great, I have the same setup on my 88' but dropped it with of set of intrax springs. Yes it does ride a little rough, and yes the front tires some times rub on weird bumps in the road, but I can turn the wheel full lock with no issues. When I swaped the springs I found a piece of a 2x4 under the spring in the a arm

Re: Finally got her out of the bodyshop

I can honestly say that the only other wheel I would consider putting on my car is the ZR-1 wheels, I saw a black 3rd gen hardtop about 15 years ago with the tt-2's on it and said when I get the convertible from my mom(i know it's been my dreamcar since I was 13) I'm gona put those wheels on it,the third day I owned I got the wheels

I must say your car has one of the sweetest CLEAN looks to it. The rims definitly set it off. I think a set of black heritage stripes would look killer too.

Re: Finally got her out of the bodyshop

WOW what a great ride. I HAVE to know the rim and tire setup. I'm definately going Torq Thrust wheels this spring( I'm not sure about polished or chromed). I am curious about the size tires on your ride. I assume 17" front and back? Did you go 275-40-17 all the way around? If so what kind of back spacing? I was thinking of 17x 8 up front with 245-45-17 and 17x 9.5 with 275-40-17 in the rear. Any help will be appreciated.

Re: Finally got her out of the bodyshop

The tires are 245-45-17 to give the wheel a little meat,If you drive the car alot the chrome will be less maintenece,But I love the billet the backspacing I have no idea what it was but I wanted the wheel flush with the fender flare and it doesn't rub they are 17X8 so I can rotate the tires,by the way nice ride,oh and I am putting a 100 shot on this gutless wonder

Re: Finally got her out of the bodyshop

Thanks for the reply. It's exactly the look I'm going for. I don't put a lot of miles on mine so i may still go for the 275-40's on the rear.
