Looking for some history on my 85 Vert

I've had this car since I was a junior in highschool and my entire education on cars is because of this TA. when i got it, it had some sort of aftermarket cam and 2 different cylinder heads? so after a rebuild and some new injectors I thought I was ready to go.

Nope now the computer was all out of wack. then I spend 2 years reading and learning and saving up for the equipment to write my own chips. Then recently I've finally completed a harness swap so I can run the $6E code. Now it runs like a champ. hopefully I can get better then a 15.8 in the quater mile on this new tune.

Its been an on and off project and I think I'm ready to get started on it again. I've already put new rims on it (ZR1 clone's) and I am getting ready for some new carpet and upholstery.

but anyway I've included some pictures in hopes somebody could tell me what company may have done this style of conversion. I ordered a packet from PHS. but the only thing I learned from that is my car should have Cruise Control but its not installed anymore.

Re: Looking for some history on my 85 Vert

It looks like a Hi-Line Kustoms, Inc. They were out of Valley City, ND...

From what I can tell they only made a handful I have heard about 500 or 600 total from 1983 thru 1985 or 1986. The conversion appears to be very similar to a Matrix3, the difference is the top and the way it snaps down to the car when open. The Matrix3 wraps more over the sides of the car where the Hi-Line is more on top.

If you do a search you should find the post card ads I have posted here...

After seeing those pictures I would agree on it being a High-line Kustoms. the deck lid and spoiler is reused. on the Matrix3 pictures I saw the deck lid was a custom fiberglass panel.

thanks for sharing. Now I have a little more then "I don't know" for an answer when people ask about my car.
