Car back from Paint

Not sure how much has been up on these boards, but I purchased this car in August of 2007, and have been bringing her back to nice condition, just got the car back from Paint and I am really happy with the job Dale at Hardings Auto in House Springs Missouri did on the car. Some pictures...
before Aug 2007 - Peeling trunk, faded, scratched...

After all done and put back together

Looks very professional. I'm not a big fan of vanity plates either but I like those.

very nice!

If you consider that car rough when you got it, I'd hate to see what you would've thought of my car when I bought it..... or even now! LOL

Yep it was red to begin, I don't know if it is the same GM # or not but it looks the same, did not paint inside doors, trunk, and hood.

I don't think I called it rough, it really just needed a cleaning up, I mean there were no hole (rust) or major mechanical malfunctions, but it had been neglected for a while.

Thanks for looking guys, I sure am happy to have the car back, it's been sunny and 80 degrees every day this week, and on Sunday we have a cruise ending with a BBQ along the River Road with over 40 cars signed up and the forecast is the same 80 degrees and sunny, and you know when the weather is good there are always more who show up than signed up.

See my car page link in my signature for more pictures...

Re: Car back from Paint

I'm drooling! I wanted a paint job so bad this summer I couldn't stand it, but the motor swap took priority. Maybe that will be a winter project. Your car looks awesome. The only gripe I have with it is that I think it would have looked better with the door strips left on. I used to think I wanted to take mine off when I repaint, but the more I look, the more I think they actually add to the lines of the car. To each his own, though.

I hope my paint comes out that good!

Re: Car back from Paint

"Need" and "Want" are two totally different things. It is fine the way it is, but the imperfections drive me crazy. 17-year-old paint ... can't expect it to be perfect I guess. Scooby's paint looks killer and makes me "want" new paint lol. But I like my gold wheels/tan interior a little better. Those black GTA's are sweet, I just don't like the gray interior that always accompanies them.

yes,tan interior on a red t/a vert DEMANDS! gold wheels IMO.
If scoobys car had tan int. I would have to agree on the wheels.
tan/int.&gold gta wheels=yes!
black or grey int.&gold gta wheels=no!
Thats just my opinion though.
