'Nother Newbie

Hello - I just bought my first third-gen a couple of months ago - '90 RS Convertible. Haven't posted yet, because I've been busy just reading on here and learning about my car. Great site with lots of solid info. Anyone here from Northern New England?

Welcome Mark, I love this site to. I'm from Portsmouth NH. I just bought my 91 Vert in November and it's coming along nicely. I believe there's one other guy here from Newmarket NH. Mike

Re: 'Nother Newbie

Thanks - I'll post some pics here in a day or two - My car is white, red interior, with a newish black cloth top. 305/TBI 700R4, and gawdawful looking 16" aftermarket wheels - Thankfully the folks I bought the car from still had the original 15" wheels. The car has a somewhat crinkled left front fender, and a 6" rust spot on the passenger's door. I'm going to replace both later on this Winter, once I find the parts. The car is from Nevada originally, and has very little else for rust. It isn't a perfect car, it isn't totally ratty, either, just a middle-aged American convertible - I like it. I've always wanted a third-gen ragtop, the price was right, and it worked well enough (after sitting for two years) to drive home. Is there anyplace in Northern New England that has a bunch of these things to part out? Not 'verts, just third-gen Camaros - I have a bunch of small bits and pieces to locate and replace as I'm going through the car. I'm already eyeing a '91 or '92 parked in someone's backyard a couple of blocks from here, wouldn't mind owning another one . . .

Mark these cars are all over CL you can buy a whole car with a good motor, transmission and nice body for 800 to 1200. Not a Vert though. But the coupe's are everywhere. People are giving these cars away here in New England. Wish I lived on a farm I'd have a whole fleet of them.
