Another 89 IROC Convert, need input, opinions, have pics !!!
this car is located very near me ... I sure need some parts for my 91Z .. I have not seen it in person but heres the low down on it .. 89 IRoC, says its a true 5 spd. car. Rear disc ???? dunno, says interior is Perfect, if thats perfect then my car passes the white glove test. States thats a new top. The Plenium on the TPI is missing but the runners are still bolted on. Oh and heres the main thing .. NO TITLE !!
how much do you think its worth, I will post the price, but I just want to know if he is off . I think it off but I not that familar with the prices of IROCs. after I get about 5 replies I will post how much he is selling it. i really need parts for my convert. I'd hate to purchase a 3rd gen vert to part out, that would hurt to do, and especially to an IROC.
thanks for your info guys
Robert.

Depends on what you need from it.It doesn't take much vert specific parts to add up to $500 which is about what I would pay.

i wouldnt pay no more than $500-$700 for it. i know that i can make that much off parting it out, and keeping some of it for me.

1) it does not run.
2) NO Title
3) it is a Vert
4) it does not run.
I would consider contacting the DMV with the VIn and see if it was stolen, or if there is anything they can help you with. You may be able to apply for a lost title. not sure how all that works, never bought a car w/o a title, and I imagine it depends on your state & local branch. Got a friend at the DMV? there is your go-to guy.
I think $500 to $1K is a fair price for a non-running vert... Think of it this way, with the condition of the car, it would not matter to me if it had a V6, L4 or a 350. It all parts to me... That is rough!.

I'll chime in to be the fifth so we can hear what this guy is asking.
It is worth what someone will pay, in it's current state I suspect to make it nice will take more money then someone will pay for a nice one (not to mention the no title deal) so therefore currently it is only worth parts, and if the top is nice and those sought after vert-specific parts are there and nice - $700.
But from looking at the pictures I bet there is a lot more wrong with this car than right. It looks like someone abandonded it, and they knew more about than we do.
Okay that is five, let me guess he wants $4000.

I'd like to think the guy only wants $500 for it, because that's all it's worth considering the circumstances, but in reality I'm betting he wants at least $1,800 for it.

LOL !! this was pretty fun waiting on responses to disclose the price. Sorry I just got out of work.
the guys is asking 1,400 Benjamin's. I've yet to see it in person though, but hey if the 5spd is still there and its got black trim on the inside and the nice NON cracked convertible pieces... that be a nice buy at 500-600 bucks !!
Oh and on the no title thing. it sux when their might be that chance that it was stolen in its past life. and TEXAs is bad / hard to get a title for a car with NO TITLE !!! I've had trouble trying to title cars With titles in my hand.
as far as it looks, thats just a parts car now. I know its SAD.

Engine parts look pretty rusty, be sure to check for frame and body rust. If there's a lot, I'd say move on. You can find a better deal if you are patient.

What a travesty - almost makes me depressed. It must be stolen because no one in their right mind would let it just decay away like that.
