Help! I'm stuck.
I ordered the new convertible header trim panel fom Hawk's. It is the plastic piece that runs across the top of the windshield on the inside, right where the top meets the windshield. Here's a pic http://www.hawksthirdgenparts.com/ca...nyl-1-1-1.aspx
I got the old piece out, cracking it in the process. I don't see how to put the new piece in without cracking it. There is a lip at the top and tabs that fit under the metal latch brackets at each side. It seems like the brackets need to be removed to seat the tabs on the plastic, but the brackets are riveted to the metal at the top of the windshield frame.
Am I missing something obvious here or do I have to remove and replace the rivets?
Was planning to take this car to Florida tommorrow afternoon if I can get it back together. Thanks for any help!
