front brakes wear very unevenly
The passenger side must clamp down more or something (possible?) because they get worn SO much more.
Could air in the lines cause that? I'm going to bleed them anyway I think.
Somebody said a caliper could be stuck. Would that be the passenger side (wears quicker) or the drivers side (wears less)?
How would you adjust the left/right bias of the brakes so that they brake evenly? assuming a caliper isn't stuck.
Could this have caused my steering to get loose? Because for a while, it did tend to yank the wheel out of my hand under hard braking. I thought maybe it had worked the steering loose in the last year that the brakes have been working unevenly.

Pulling when you hit the brake indicates a caliper is stuck open and one brake is doing most of the work.
Which way does it pull when you hit the brake? The opposite side isn't working correctly(sticking or stuck). You can't adjust left/right bias. If it pulls when you hit the brake, something isn't working like it should.
It won't make your steering loose.

It could also be loose wheel bearings, or maybe even an internally-deteriorated 9-year-old brake hose.
