Bought My First Thirdgen
I've been looking for a couple of years for that 'just right' vert. I always seemed to be too late or too far away or too broke! Well it finally happened...I just bought a 1990 IROC-Z vert! Clean interior, new (4500 miles) ZZ4 block, aluminum vette heads (meh), chip, disc brakes, posi rear. The rear is a little tall, 4.10 but it'll do for now. $5000
Overall, I feel pretty good about the purchase. What do you think?

Buddy thinks he's got a real hot car selling it for that price.
Yours is nice! I like it.

That's about what we figure. The engine is set up for boost with a comp ratio of 8.5:1 Not sure which direction I want to go there. I've never run anything other than a NA car.

Ya, but she's got a stocker base. I'd swap that out, and port the snot out of the runners, that with the new base would most likely be worth 20rwhp for ya.

Well, I went with the TPIS Big Mouth, but it's just a reboxed Edelbrock and $75 more. Most would say go for an HSR, but I like the TPI. I'd get an edelbrock baseplate, port it nicely, and port the runners some more, and match the plenum; and you'd get a noticeable amount of power out of her. And while youre doing that may as well add an Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator, and if youre running stock injectors you can find the desired fuel pressure (I think it's 50psi) to gain a few extra ponies as well.
If you use the search bar you can find a whole lot of TPI bolt ons and tips and tricks on tuning.
Now my 350 TPI with upgraded and fully ported intake and Headers to a full 3" exhaust runs really strong, and I figure a mid to high 13 second car. Now yours, with a properly ported intake and tuned well could most likely run low 13s. Just read and you'll learn a few things about TPI, and it's not bad like everyone says it is. They just hate changing gaskets and injectors because lots don't have the patients too. But you and I have very good looking intakes; so we don't mind the TPI =)
And actually, if youre looking to clean up your bay a little, I noticed that your fuel lines look a little rusty and discolored, I have nicely polished metal hard lines, and beautiful soft lines if youre interested.

Really Nice looking car and it looks like you got a good deal. How's the top look?
Anyway, no need to go crazy trying to pump it up just to get a more HP to the rear wheels. Sounds like it's fairly stout already. I would invest in subframe connectors if it doen't have them already. You don't want to twist the frame with all that torque.
Besides, it's a vert and verts were made to cruse not race. Just enjoy the hell out of it as the ThirdGen verts are the coolest looking cars on the road.
