Those are not rollbars, they won't protect you!

They do look very nice on mustangs though

Re: Roll Bar/Roll Cage

Chances are that style bar(what most call those lighted "roll bar" imitations like what's on that mustang) will just be a modded fourthgen unit. I doubt it'd be that difficult to make different mounting brackets.

Re: Roll Bar/Roll Cage

I guess some rules were changed and the road tracks in So Cal require a 4 point roll bar in verts. So I need one. Bolt in bars are ok, just need the right steel and bends.
So I am looking for one.

Don't put anyone in the back seat you actually care about if you put a 4pt in the car.

They aren't a no no for me at least. I love Mustangs just as much as third gens. That's actually the reason why I haven't stroked my IROC out to a 383 yet. Soon, it will be sharing the garage with a 2001-2004 5 speed GT.

Have you been in a wreck in the back of a caged car?

What 8 second car in this world even has a back seat? I haven't seen that many sub-10 second drag cars with full interiors, including backseats. Pretty much every 8 second car is going to be fully tubbed, with nothing but a few thin sheets of aluminum as the rear floor pan, not meant to support 100+ pounds.

I still say it's a neat idea though, as far as looks go. Just be careful out there, and you won't have to worry about killing anyone that happens to be in the back seat.

The 70 Nova SS Pro street that my dad has had for years... He built for street car not strip car originally then just started adding to it over the years LOL

and my dads best friend has a 70 mavrick that runs 7.70s with full factory interior even front bench seat lol

Welcome to the world of the street race hustle...

Thats what they call full interior drag cars around here
