hrmmm, thats a tough call considering the body damage.
those 'vert fenders are getting really hard to find. Bumper cover is starting to be that way too. If you find someone parting out a firebird 'vert, you might get lucky.
I've seen the cars go for less with similar damage, but didn't have that ram air hood. So you probably did ok
Good luck with it!

If the cover and fender are the only thing gone and no frame bends, then its a good deal. I am sure you can find the parts easily, theres a few on craigslist as we speak.

the frame is perfect. the car spent most of its life in texas so its like 98% rust free. I put it on the lift at home and the car looked clean but has been bottomed out once that i saw but didn't get the oil pan.

I think you did good.
Replace that hideous hood with the stock one, replace the wheels with some black or gold GTAs, fix the front bumper, get it all painted and you will have a GORGEOUS classy ride.

Re: Just bought a 1992 firebird convertible
The vert fenders are shorter in the bottom behind the ground effects at the door end. This is because the bracing that was added for chassis strength interferes right there. Also, there's a bracket near the inside bottom of the fender that is used to screw it onto the body. This bracket is not on the regular fender. When you get your new fender you'll need to cut off about four inches off of the bottom and weld/river that bracket which you'll need to save from your old fender.

Re: Just bought a 1992 firebird convertible
technically the vert fenders are the same fender, ASC simply trimmed the bottom of a factory fender to make it work with the Sub frame Connector...
