Convertible/coupe spoiler?

If the title doesn't give it away I am wondering if the coupe and convertible use the same rear spoiler center section. Specifically for a 1990. My center section is cracked and I would like to get another one. There are lots of coupe spoilers around but I would like to know for sure before I waste my time and money. Thanks, Scott.

Re: Convertible/coupe spoiler?

For some reason, to the best of my knowledge ASC used a unique spoiler center section. Even the early Firebird with the wing style spoiler that was directly from the coupe used a unique high mount brake light...

The shape of the rear trunk is different than the rear hatch, The hatch appears to be more straight, the trunk on a vert has more of a shape.

Re: Convertible/coupe spoiler?

Reproductions available at Hawks Third Gen parts but not cheap. $250 IIRC.

Re: Convertible/coupe spoiler?

Thanks guys. The tab is broken off one side where the third brake light lens mounts. I will have a closer look at it to see if I can just fix it.

EDIT: The stamped metal tab that the lens scres too came off. I should be able to just put it back on with some adhesive and keep on truckin. ('Vertin??)

Re: Convertible/coupe spoiler?

Epoxy the HMSL mount tab back on. I use Devcon plastic weld II.
