i hate to see a vert goto waste but damn..that is alot of frame damage for sure...not to mention the money to get that all fixed...the only way i would take it is if he paid you 700.00 cause that is lookin alot like a money pit to me.

I would sell you mine as a roller for $1500

buy that and swap everything over to mine, then sell off what you don't need.....

Re: is it worth saving ?

Honestly I would say no. I'd buy it for $400 as a parts car but that's it.

Re: is it worth saving ?

Let's do the math . . .
Restore that one (body work, straightening, paint, parts, all the rust, possibly drivetrain from sitting and prior use, interior, new top, parts hunting, time & labour, etc, etc) . . . easily $20,000 - $35,000.
Just go out and buy one that's pretty much perfect and do nothing but drive and have fun . . . $6,000 - $12,000.

Of coarse those are all ball park guesstimates, but I think you see what might be involved. While it may be nice to save them all, they all can't be saved. In many cases it's just not practical. Doing it just for the love of it can be extremely expensive and time consuming. I would say offer about half of what he's asking and part it out. That would greatly help out those already trying to save the verts that have a chance.
