Windshield

Does anyone know if a windshield from a 87 convertible will fit a 89 convertible. How about the plastic header panel on the top of the windshield? I am thinking about buying a 87 for parts and those are a couple of the items I need.

Re: Windshield

Windshield definitely will, the plastic panel "should" if they're both converted by the same company.

Re: Windshield

Thanks! I actually didn't know the conversion's were done by anyone other than ASC. I just got my 89 and I'm learning more about the 3rd gen Camaro every day. Thanks again. Rick

Re: Windshield

Most of them are asc conversions but you'll see a small number of other aftermarket conversions as well out there.

Re: Windshield

I think the header is different from 87, or maybe its the latches. The top frame is definatly different

Re: Windshield

OK thanks. I can buy the panel for $189 from Rick's Camaro's but I need a lot of other trim/interior pieces and I though if I could find a parts car it would be better in the end.

Re: Windshield

The header trim panel changed a little from 88 to 89, they have different part numbers. they look the same though, hopefully it will work for you...
