Rear spoiler emblem on a 25th anniversary vert?

Is a 92 convertible supposed to have this:

What about door handles, are they supposed to be black or body color? Mine look to be painted over twice!

only the Z03 (heritage edition) cars came with the 25th anniversary spoiler badge. so if your car is a Z03 car then yes it should have one. as for the door handles i don't believe any car came with body colored handles. i believe they are/were all black.

Thanks, mine is just the standard 92 RS, so no rear spoiler badge.

Is the FUEL INJECTION door handle just an aftermarket thing, or did some cars actually have those originally?

I actually can't answer this one as i 'm not certain. I've never seen a car with those, but that doesn't mean it didn't exsist. the font looks like it possibly might have come from a trans-am / firebird. Sorry don't have the answer for this one.

There were no door handle emblems on our cars on regular cars. The 89 turbo trans am might have had one but regular irocs and trans ams did not. The 79-81 trans ams had a 4 wheel disc brakes emblem on the door handles with cars that had the WS6 option. That is the only door handle emblems I remember on any year F-body.

Incorrect. Fuel Injected birds had the emblems on the door handles until '87. Even the V6 models. I pulled a set yesterday from an '85 V6 bird.

Re: Rear spoiler emblem on a 25th anniversary vert?

I remember those now. Thats why I mentioned the 89 turbo cars. I thought it might have had that emblem or something. And yes you can still get those on ebay. I have a set of the 4 wheel disc brakes emblems that came on the 79-81 TAs. The motion cars might have had one as well but I don't really count them. The first stick car I ever drove was a Motion Monza. Muncie 4 speed, 12 bolt with 410 posi and a 283 that felt like a 383. It was a mid 74 or 75 or so and I was 14. How many people can say they have driven a motion car. I have also driven a 74 Super Duty Trans am and a 67 427 435hp convertible vette. I was 6 when I drove the vette but it still counts since I steered and shifted.

Some of the earlier.. I believe mid 80's cars (don't know specifics, sorry) had the handle emblems. On the 92 if it is non Z03 car as you said you should have RS on both rockers, RS with bowtie on the rear bumper, the Bowtie/flag emblem on the nose, and the RS 25th Anniversary emblem on the dash. That is it.

Like the Nose emblem? Or do you have a emblem on the actual hood.

Did you open up the console and look at the RPO codes to see if you had the Z03 option for the heritage package?

Sorry! Emblem on the nose, not hood!

Re: Rear spoiler emblem on a 25th anniversary vert?

The hood emblems were 302 or cowl induction in 69 depending on option and then things went to stickers in the mid 70s to early 80s. I have two 81 Z28s and they have air induction stickers on the hood scoop. The 80-81 tear drop scoop is one of my favorites but the 67 vette stinger is king.
